Via Subway:
Take N/R/W train to 8th St. walk south on Broadway, turn right on Washington Place and follow straight into the park.

If you've ever participated in a scavenger hunt, you know the game. You work in teams. Every team is given a list of tasks and limited time to finish them. Every completed task equals X points. Use you combined skills and wits to tackle the challenges and have a great time doing it. In the Ice Cream Run you will be given a map of Manhattan and a list of the best Ice cream & gelato parlors in town. You have maximum 2 hours to make it to as many locations as possible, scoring points for each stop. With a swift foot, a sharp mind and a great appetite, you might make it to the finish line with a winning score card and collect one of the magnificent prizes.

Event Q & A

Q:  How many people can be in a team?
A:  1 to 5 people. If your group is larger than this we will split you into two teams.

Q:  I don't have a team, can I still join?
A:  Sure. You can be a team of one, or if you prefer we will be happy to pair
     you up with another group.

Q:  How do we get from location to location? Are there any rules?
A:  No rules. You choose the mode of transportation whether it's taxi, Subway,
     or pogo stick.

Q: Which locations are included in the run?
A:  Since it is a competition we like to keep the exact locations of the scavenger
hunt somewhat of a secret ; ) but you can cheat a little by checking the
sponsor logos above. We will have about 13 locations included in the
run and we promise you will not be disappointed.

Q:  Where are the locations? Are they far apart?
A:  Most of the locations are in the East and West Village Area and several are
walking distance from each other, but there are also spots in midtown
and downtown that are worth visiting and that give more points.
You pick which ones you want to include in your run.

Q:  Is there a special order we have to follow?
A:  No, it is up to every team to decide which locations to include in their route
and in which order to visit them.

Q:  How are points awarded?
A:  You will be given a Game Ticket, which will be stamped at each location
by our staff. Every stamp translates to a certain number of points. To qualify
you will also need to purchase at least one ice cream cup or cone per team
member during the 2 hour run. If you are 4 in your team, you need to buy
4 ice creams total. You will also get bonus points for each additional ice
     cream you buy.

Q:  When and where do we register on the day of the event?
A:  Teams will gather between 1:15 and 1:45pm at Garibaldi Plaza inside
Washington Square Park (see map and detailed directions at the top of the
page) to receive instructions for the Run. Please be on time.
The run starts at 2pm with or without you.

Q:  How much time do we have for the Ice Cream Run?
A:  The Run starts at 2pm and all teams need to reach the finish line no later than
4pm. Late comers may be given minus points. The finish line is same as the
     starting point.

Q:  How do we know who won?
A:  While the teams and their friends relax the event organizers will be tallying up
the points. When all is figured out, we will announce the teams with the highest
points and hand out the prizes.

Q:  Can I invite friends to attend the after party?
A:  Sure. Feel free to invite all your friends. We understand not everybody's cut
out for the scavenger hunt, but many will enjoy the ice cream tasting
     and activities afterwards.

Q:  Does it cost anything to attend?
A:  Admission to attend the Run and/or the Party is $5 for children and $10 for
     adults.
